Train the Trainer New Employee Orientation |
Client: Brigham Young University and LDS Church Education System directed "Especially for Youth" ( www.byu.edu/efy ). Especially for Youth (EFY) is staffed by over 800 college aged counselors.
Challenge: To
provide a distance learning solution to over 800 college-aged counselors
in the United States and Canada on how to effectively teach the
youth attending EFY. Included in that instruction would be a detailed
course on operational proceedures. Roughly 80% of the EFY employee
base is new each year-requiring a substantial stand-alone training
solution to minimize administrative costs.
Solution: M:4
worked with the LDS Church Education System to develop an interactive
multimedia CD-ROM for MS Windows T computers that provided "train
the trainer" materials how to effectively teach the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. The training was based on materials used in a two-semester
college training course and synthesized the material to focus on
the most critical elements. The two-hour training course includes
videos, voice-over narration, interactive learning experiences with
responses that change based upon the learners' answers, and audio
lessons. |
