Client: Vital SmartsT ( www.vitalsmarts.com ) in Orem, Utah is a full-service organizational development firm that specializes in researching and developing training materials that help solve pressing problems faced by leaders and employees in today's business environment. Vital SmartsT creates leader-led training programs with train-the-trainer materials to help empower small companies to Fortune 500 corporations navigate their way through each step of an effective change effort. Their book, Crucial Conversations, is a New York Times best-seller.

Challenge: To convert a library of highly sophisticated MS PowerPoint-based training materials (that included text, video, and audio) into a format that could be more generally accessible/consistent and be used by its in-house trainers and corporate customers.

Solution: M:4 analyzed this client's needs and proposed a solution to develop templatized code that would efficiently convert the initial training modules and then allow the client to convert and update the remaining training materials by their own staff at their own pace. Because of the client's timeline, the originally estimated two weeks of development work was accelerated and completed in four days.
